Vijay Sethupathi's next?

Vijay Sethupathi's maiden production venture Orange Mittai is yet to hit the screens, but the busy actor has started his next production venture titled Merku Thodarchi Malai to be directed by Lenin Bharathi.

A simple poster of the film got released in the online social media and that's how the public even knew what it was all about. The film will have Ilayaraja doing the music. Interesting trivia is, Lenin Bharathi is the credited story-writer of Aadhalaal Kaadhal Seiveer and has also majorly contributed for Suseenthiran directed Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai.

Lenin's father and Ilayaraja are longtime friends and this story is believed to be a landscape based film, high on emotions. The film's story was narrated to Vijay Sethupathi almost a year back and he so badly wanted to be associated with such a quality product and the time has finally come.

Wishing the team the very best!

PK crosses the 300 cr mark

An alien drama has travelled far more than what it set out for. Aamir Khan-Rajkumar Hirani combo has worked its best in the film PK. This film has broken Aamir's previous record made in Dhoom 3 which stood at Rs 284 crore mark.

As reported earlier, PK is all set to create a box office history. On the 17th day of its release it stood at a 300 crore mark. Interestingly, the top movies which created a box office revolution are all Aamir Khan starrers. While Ghajini was the first Hindi film to cross the 100 cr mark, 3 Idiots was the first Hindi film to cross the 200 cr mark and now, PK is the first Hindi film to cross the 300 cr mark.

Film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh tweeted yesterday (4th January), "PK all set to cross 300 cr today [Sunday; Day 17]. Becomes first Hindi film to attain the feat in India. Breakup in next tweet"

"PK Week 3: Fri 6.85 cr, Sat 8.32 cr. Grand total: 293.84 cr nett. India biz. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER"

We wish the PK team success for breaking more records.
